No more paint stains on your favorite pair and no more damning evidence during police checks… An « OK » tag on the shoe was designed to keep the sneakers clean during graffiti sessions. OVERKILL thought of every detail to make the tribute to graffiti artists complete. A white midsole and a black outsole complete the look. The green stripe on the midsole panels, meanwhile, is a nod to the wire fences that graffiti artists must cross to engage in their streetart. This co-branding also adorns the neon green Torsion bar visible under the outsole. The brandings have been reworked to offer a special Trefoil and « OK » logo, which can be found on the red tongue tags and heels. This particular black pattern also appears on the yellow laces (3 additional sets are included with the pair and different laces). The toe box and the gray mudguard depicting the slab construction of the city of Berlin, together with the OVERKILL branding embroidered in black in a grid style. This design is complemented by numerous details, such as the OVERKILL Quote hybrid logo and the « Flammable » branding on the heel and laces. The shoe features a striped mesh upper, complemented by suede overlays and small 3M elements reminiscent of the Berlin Chrome Bomber. It’s dressed in a bold and cheerful color combination of neon pink, purple, orange, blue and neon yellow. This collaborative pair also honors the color palette of the legendary Montana Gold graffiti bombs. The name « OVERKILL » is representative of the variety of colors and materials and many other details adorning the sneaker. #ADIDAS OVERKILL UPDATE#
While not originally part of adidas‘ decades-old collection, the color trifecta serves as a modern update of EQT heritage. Profile 3-Stripes and detailing throughout the remainder of the textile and leather upper, as well as the outsole, indulge in vibrant green, pink and blue tones. (The forefoot and heel takes after the Guidance, mid-foot the Cushion and Support.) As such, a white and grey color palette takes over much of the sneaker’s base. Originally designed under an “Homage” title, the newly-surfaced pair combines elements of the adidas EQT Cushion, Support and Guidance from the early 1990s. Among them, Germany’s very own Overkill boutique, which has outfitted the adidas EQT CSG 91 in pastels derived from original offerings from the Equipment series. As part of the adidas EQT line’s 30th anniversary, the Three Stripes tapped a panel of collaborators for its “Life Needs Equipment” collection.
